Introduction
Bi-Coastal Pharmaceutical Corp. was founded by Ralph Massa in 1982 to serve the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry as an outsource sales, marketing and consulting company. Bi-Coastal represents numerous manufacturers in the United States and internationally by providing pharmaceutical products to a customer network that includes all classes of trade.

 

Accomplishments
Bi-Coastal successfully places manufacturers' products in all major segments of the market. Over the course of nearly twenty years, Bi-Coastal has developed strong relationships with key industry personnel responsible for all major purchasing decisions. Bi-Coastal provides them with a single point of contact to source a wide range of pharmaceutical products. In addition, Bi-Coastal enables the manufacturers we represent to access these multiple channels of distribution through our existing infrastructure.
  • In July 2004, Wellspring Pharmaceutical signed an agreement with Abrika Pharmaceuticals, for the sales, marketing and distribution of Bethanechol Chloride Tablets, a 50+ million dollar product in the United States. Bi-Coastal was responsible for this agreement, and the companies continue to share a mutually beneficial business relationship today.
  • Bi-Coastal was instrumental in the launch of Warrick Pharmaceuticals, Schering Plough's Generic Division, in 1993 into the generic distributor and private label trade segments.
  • Bi-Coastal was responsible for the direct presence and growth of Novopharm in the U.S. market in 1987 in a sales, marketing and consulting capacity.
  • Bi-Coastal launched Natrecor® (nesiritide), in 2001 , a brand pharmaceutical product used for the treatment of acute congestive heart failure (aCHF) for Scios. Natrecor's sales exceeded 300 Million dollars before Scios was sold to Johnson and Johnson in 2003.
  • Successfully launched AdoxaT for Bioglan Pharmaceutical, Inc. and Donnatal® for PBM Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in 2001 and 2002.
  • Increased Lannett Company's sales volume an average of 121.2% per quarter during the last three quarters of 1999 and opened 39 new accounts in a 10 month period.
  • Placed Able Laboratories' products in 235 new distribution points in the generic distributor trade segment in the last 6 months of 2001.

 

Associates
Bi-Coastal's customer network includes all major retail chains, wholesalers, distributors, mail order, managed care organizations, provider networks, government institutions, and GPO's, as well as private label, buying groups, medical supply distributors, mass merchandisers, clinics and internet sites in the United States.

 

Capabilities
Our technologically advanced corporate offices are designed to provide high levels of service to our clients and customers. All of our business operations are fully automated with a sophisticated, customized, state-of-the-art network. Bi-Coastal has full EDI capabilities.

Services
Within sales, marketing and consulting, Bi-Coastal's services include customer service, customer relations, private label development, pricing strategy, policy development, order processing and tracking, manufacturer-customer liaison, and virtual company commercialization options. Bi-Coastal also works with hospital buying groups in evaluating their overall purchasing needs. Bi-Coastal analyzes their annual product purchases and upon the completion of their analysis, provides the group with cost savings recommendations.

Facilities
Bi-Coastal currently occupies over 6,000 square feet of office space at our corporate headquarters in New Jersey, and a satellite West Coast conference facility in California.
